It is almost the weekend and I can’t hardly wait! One of my good friends is in town and I can’t wait to just hang out with her and go to brunch and enjoy hopefully the good weather again. Every day has been so pretty lately with the sun shining and the weather not being too hot yet. As we get closer to the middle of April  it is time to figure out what you are serving for Easter brunch and also time to bring out your warm weather clothes. I don’t know about you, but here in Houston I never really put my warm weather clothes away because you never know what this weather can do. One item I have been loving since last year is the 2 piece outfit. I find it more versatile then just a dress because I can mix and match the top and bottom for a completely different look. I have seen 2 pieces come in a top similar to this and pants also, but chose the skirt during this time of year. Last year I actually wore this outfit to dinner on a patio and it was the perfect material for me to last through Houston on a hot patio.

One thing I have been paying attention to a lot more lately if it’s not a trendy piece is the fabric. I think that is what ultimately will make your decision between one brand or the next depending on the quality of the material. This to me is really important and especially if you plan on wearing it for a while. I like how this skirt was thick and lined, but still had room to breathe as well. Long skirts do not appear in my closet that often, so I am pretty picky when I buy one. I have worn this outfit for fun birthday dinners and of course to go eat Mexican food. I think this would be a great outfit to wear for Cinco de Mayo if you have a little party to go to. This print on the skirt and top are the perfect little added touch. When it comes to Spring and Summer time you also will not see me carrying a big purse. It is all about simplicity and just bringing the essentials with me. I have been carrying this fun little navy rattan clutch to all of my events lately and love it. It is a classic accessory that goes with everything from weekday to weekend.
