I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Everything was fashion related this weekend as New York Fashion Week was occurring. All of the styles looked amazing and I loved all of the fall leather and deep colors I saw in pictures. I hope I will be able to go in February, everyone seemed to have such a fun time. I went to a beauty event at Neiman Marcus Saturday where they had a runway style show and demonstrated the top trends. Again I saw leather as well as deep plums and greens everywhere. One of my favorites was pairing chambray & leather together.
Leather is a style piece that will never go away. You can dress it up or down, and can even combine different pieces and colors for a dramatic fierce look. I did a season transitional look with the leather shorts and chambray shirt. These 2 pieces are my staple items to have in every girls closet. They can be paired with so many different options and will always look put together. I love how you can wear both, no matter what season it is. I have worn leather shorts with tights in the winter and also with a tank in the summer. Chambray is another item that I have a lot of in my closet. It is so easy to throw on for a laid back look. When you combine the two together you have a casual but glam look that can go from shopping to a fun date night out. I see these two staple items not going away anytime soon.
