Pure Barre – Houston Heights
Looking for a great workout without all of the strenuous jumping or running I came across Pure Barre. This is the perfect workout for the girl who likes to have a high intense workout without the extra stress on your joints. You do not have to be a ballerina, dancer, or have perfect balance in order to participate in Pure Barre. You just need to be able to hold on to the ballet barre and follow along to the great instructions. It is a 55 minute class that offers a complete total body workout using isometric movements providing a high intensity workout. The new location in the Heights just opened up 10 minutes away from where I live so I thought this was a great time to give it a try. I have already been 3 times this week and love it so far. I like how the work out is intense but really focuses on form, posture, balance and core as well. During the class you target all of your muscles especially your seat, thighs and abs. I like how it mixes up different equipment including light pound weights that seem like 20 pounds after reps, a band, mat and ball.
The Pure Barre Heights just opened up a month ago and has already been gaining a lot of popularity. Everyone is so friendly and knows you by name. During the classes the instructor will help and modify any movements you can’t do. Right now there is a special to win a trip for 2 if you complete 20 classes within the month of December as well. I am working on this and will keep everyone up to date on my progress. This is one of the best workouts I have ever done and can’t wait to go back for my next class 🙂
