The final day of fashion week after I had gone to all of my shows I thought I would do a little sight seeing of New York. My friend Casey has lived there for the last couple of years and knows the fun spots. We had to go to brunch complete with mimosas since that is my favorite meal/activity to do on the weekend. Next was a walk through Central Park. Did I not mention that Sunday was one of the coldest days in New York, and the wind made it ten times more cold!! A Texas girl like me had no idea what to expect. This was probably not the best day to wear a flowy skirt and tights…..but hey we are in fashionable New York.

I spotted this skirt a couple of weeks ago while I was shopping in Rice Village at Langford Market. The length is a little longer than I typically wear which is a great new addition to my closet. The color and floral gives it a trendy take on the upcoming Spring styles. This chunky sweater was the warmest part of my outfit, and the color is so fun and bright. Lately, all I can think about is warmer weather and fresh flowers about to bloom. Spring is one of my favorite holidays and until then I think I will stick to wearing florals.
