Texas Bloggers Take Charleston

Today I am doing a linkup with some of my favorite Texas bloggers. I had so much fun with these girls and they were also my roomies during the Charleston trip for the Blog Societies conference this past weekend. It is always nice to have not only girls you can relate to and ask for advice, but that become really good friends as well. When we were not at the conference and talking to vendors, we got to do some exploring while we were in Charleston. Between trying really good Southern food, aka Leons and High Cotton we strolled through the little side streets and did some shopping as well. To say it felt about the same temperature and humidity as Houston is almost accurate. We constantly alternated between wedges/heels and flats during the trip. Still wanting to look cute while being comfy after all of the walking we did. One thing we all agreed on was color and prints as you can see in our fun outfits. Texas bloggers take Charleston by storm with these looks.
I tried to wear flowy pieces that when the breeze did come our way I would be more comfortable in. Like I have mentioned before tassels are one of my favorite trends right now and this top adds that with a whole lot of color too. Being in Charleston I knew that I had to mix in some pinks and a little pattern to give my outfit a preppy and girly feel. I had to pack my new jeans too. I have been wearing these as my new favorite white skinnies and I can almost say that they are about as comfortable as a pair of leggings. Distressed denim is the only type of denim that I have been swooning over lately. Mixed with some fun bright colors in my top and a neutral wedge and bag, all eyes were on the top. I think it is fun to bring the attention to one piece and then keep the rest of the outfit neutral just like the other girls did here too!
