Hello everyone and happy fall, now that it is officially fall here. Even though in Houston that doesn’t really mean anything since it is still about 90 degrees outside. This past week I had been so busy as work has been crazy and I was going going going after I got back from traveling the last 3 weekends. I finally have caught up on sleep, doing household chores and relaxing and will get back in the swing of things! I also have got quite a few new fall items including my neutral trench coat and several over the knee boots which I think are essential for fall weather lately. Last year I wore lots of over the knee boots with jeans and lots of times with dresses all in neutral like these black knee highs. I think splurging and getting some boots in a great neutral color that can go with lots of different looks and that you can keep forever is a fashion must. When I spotted these neutral boots at Monkees I immediately fell in love because of the suede and the color obviously as well. The fact that they are sky high is what I love. These would be great to pair with some tight skinny jeans and a big oversized sweater or dress like I did with this sweater dress look.

Even though it is now fall that doesn’t mean all of your dresses need to be packed up and stored until summer. To me that just means it is time to shop for more dresses in deeper fall colors to wear with your knee high boots like this look I wore. I think they are so girly to sport with some little suede booties or go all out with some knee high boots. This Alice & Olivia piece is one of those dresses that I could wear to work with some pumps or to an upcoming fall bridal shower or wedding. Speaking of weddings, my friends weddings are not done yet, but I don’t mind because they are always so fun! I have one this upcoming weekend in Dallas which will be so much fun to see all of my Dallas besties and just dance. I will probably wear a floral or deep color dress which I should probably start thinking about. At least this what to wear to a fall wedding and etiquette post will help me make some outfit decisions. If you haven’t started getting some fall pieces yet I would stick to basics with neutrals and get a pop of print like this floral dress if you want to keep your new wardrobe fun but functional 🙂
