Handbags are a girl’s best friend. From Louis, Kate, Chanel, Tory and all of the other great designers they are THE girls accessory. Most of us love to splurge on handbags as it is what we carry and hold on a day to day basis. A handbag is a statement piece that goes with your mood, work and everyday life. I personally have a couple that are my go to that I carry with everything, and then some more dressy ones. After I read the Rue La La Handbag Style Guide I would say I am a baguette girl. Granted I love to carry a tote bag around but I feel if I have a bigger bag I am more likely to carry more in it. I like how I can just throw my bag over my shoulder and go. It is not too big where I can’t find all my essentials, but is bigger than a clutch. Going to work then straight to events at night I can carry the baguette without changing out my bag. I personally love nice simple leather handbags that are timeless and classic. For a day to day bag something in a neutral color palette is ideal. I prefer blacks, creams or my favorite handbag right now in navy. Below are my essentials that I carry everyday in my handbag.
2. Perfume | I always love to have a little perfume in my handbag. This helps when you need to freshen up a little or just want to smell amazing all day long.3. Lip Gloss | This is my beauty essential that I always have in my purse. Especially after going out to dinner or drinks you always need to freshen up your lip gloss 🙂4. Hand Sanitizer | Carrying hand sanitizer is a must! From all of the door handles, people’s hands you shake and any other items you touch throughout the day sanitizing your hands is essential. Not to mention Bath & Body Works always has the best smelling hand sanitizers and they are the perfect size to throw in your handbag.5. Wristlet | I carry this wristlet by itself or thrown in my handbag. I keep my cash, credit cards and cell phone all in it. I love how it has a detachable wristlet strap and is a great chocolate python.6. Sunglasses | Every girl needs their favorite pair of sunglasses on them at all times. I have misplaced so many different pairs but if I always have them with me in my handbag I will be prepared for all types of weather and of course to put on when I am not wearing any eye makeup.7. Koozie (with purchase) | You never know when you will need a koozie. Ever since college I have kept one in my purse whether it is for my diet coke at work or for a beer at a bar. You can’t go wrong.8. Pen (at a beauty event in stores) | This fun lipstick pen does not even look like a pen. I always have to have one in my handbag to sign something or write a note even if its on my hand.9. Phone Charger | I don’t know about you but I always want to be prepared if my phone dies and I am not at my apartment to charge it. Carrying your charger with you in your handbag will help prevent your phone being dead the whole day 🙂
These are some of my other favorite handbags. I like the details of fun going out clutches. I still try to carry my handbag essentials even when I switch out handbags. It is one of the items I look for when deciding on which kind to buy. Whether it is a zipper, tassel or gold button it makes the handbag unique.
