Hello it has already been so busy this week and I think I am still catching up from the fun weekend in San Antonio and of course Daylight Savings Time as well. I don’t know what it is but I have been so tired this week so far. I spent the night on the river walk in San Antonio on Saturday and stayed at the Valencia which I will be doing an overview on the blog soon. We ate authentic Mexican food, walked around, and had a great time with just us. Not to mention that the weather felt so good which was a nice change during this time of year in Texas. One question that I got at my Q&A session at the Vera Bradley event was how to wear scarves in Texas. This was such a great question and if you are anything like me you are thinking well it is November and I would think it would be a little cooler than it is, but that has not been the case at all. I explained that with scarves in Texas it is all about the material and what you are wearing the scarf with.

I think if you have a lighter thin scarf you can wear it from spring all the way to the winter if you are layering it with other clothes or simply with a v-neck. During this time of year I love scarves but honestly it is not that cold yet to wear a huge blanket scarf, but you still want to rock the fall staple item. This look when paired with this Charming Charlie gingham scarf was great to throw on over a little short sleeved sweater. The material in this scarf was light weight and the pattern was neural that you could layer it over a big sweater if you wanted to as well. One thing to note when wearing a scarf in Texas is you don’t want to wrap it around your neck several times as that will get hot real quick. Another option for a scarf is to just let it hang around your neck loosely so it doesn’t cling to you or in a loose knot. This all white look with a pop of color goes straight from summer to fall and I am not ready to put up my white wardrobe pieces yet. In Texas that is perfectly fine and you can even wear scarves tied around your tote if it does end up getting a little hot which you know it will. It is nice to always have a scarf handy that you can throw on whether it is around your neck like I did here in a traditional way or even tied around your neck if it is a smaller scarf. One thing is certain though is that scarves in Texas are an essential item no matter what the temperature is.
