Mother’s Day is just around the corner, actually less than a week away and we all want to honor the women who mean the most to us in our lives. To some this is just another Hallmark holiday but for me I consider this a special holiday to go over and beyond for my most special mother. This is a day for your mom to feel honored, blessed and appreciated 🙂 Throughout the year my mom and I are always doing things and I will bring her random gifts or do something just because. This holiday is no different. I think it is special to make things peronsonalized and catered to your mom and her interests. It does not have to be expensive, but instead come from your heart. I put a list of items below that any mother would love.

Favorite Candle: This is a gift that is always great for every situation. My mom always likes to have the house smelling amazing and getting a candle in her favorite scent is a plus.

Picture: Whether this is a framed picture of the two of you or a personalized print or art piece, this is a great piece that she will be able to keep forever. I chose a picture of the two of us with a personalized saying on the frame. If your mom is anything like my mom then you know that pictures are worth a thousand words and you can never have too many around the house.

Day at the Spa: My mom does so much for our family that she deserves to be pampered. There are so many times in the past for gifts that I got her a massage or facial or even a nail gift certificate to finally treat herself. This is always a great safe bet and she will feel like a queen for the day.

Personalized stationary: With to-do lists, grocery lists or just needing to jot something down my mom is always reaching for something to write on. Stationary always comes in handy and you can never have too much of it. Make it personalized just for her and you have yourself a great gift.

Hand-made card: We aren’t 5 years old anymore but a hand made card is probably one of the most thoughful ways to express your care for your mom. I still try to make these when I can and always write down my exact thoughts in the card. My mom and I have always enjoyed long sentimate cards and handmade ones are even that much special!

I got my mom the picture and the journal at Minted as they have been a great site for cards and anything personalized that I have used in the past. You can customize any of your gifts and if you order gifts by today you can get free overnight shipping on orders over $100 with code MOMFS100
