Can you all believe it is already the first week of August?? I seriously can’t and feel like the whole summer has been going by so fast. I have been doing things constantly around Houston and traveling for work. As we get older though it is not really a summer vacation like it used to be. This can be really sad unless you are a teacher and get the summers off, which most of my friends are. Regardless, I still have been craving vacations and actually am heading to Charleston in the morning for The Blog Societies Conference with some of my pals for an informative and fun weekend. In preparation for this trip I actually went on a shopping spree yesterday because a lot of the Nordstrom Sale picks I got are just a tad bit hot right now to wear, other than my black handbag that I will for sure be taking. I have already shopped this sale twice and am going to a third time before it ends in 5 days (August 8th!!!).

The first time I shopped the sale I bought all things for me that were staples and fit within classics for fall or winter, or items I just needed as you can see from here and here. The next time I shopped the sale I actually got random items for my apartment and was able to score some Christmas gifts like this cute monogrammed cheese board. One thing I always love to find are deals that are under $50. Even though this sale has so many great designer items at ridiculous prices, spending less than $50 for some items are for sure on my radar.  A lot of these would make great gifts for friends and family. If you are anything like me then there is always an occasion for gifting someone whether it is for a birthday or shower gift.
