Oversized Button Down Shirt

Happy Friday and happy national coffee day! If you are like me then this is a holiday everyday especially when you have about 5 cups of coffee it seems like during the day. I only starting drinking it after starting work because it is an absolute struggle to wake up in the morning. Also I don’t know about you but my new favorite drink at Starbucks for fall is not the pumpkin spice latte, but instead the maple pecan latte! All I know is that I will be continuing my coffee today and then later it will be wine 😉 I have several birthday events and friend’s parties this weekend and know that it will be a fun weekend. We will be celebrating my older brother’s birthday on Sunday and that means just 8 days after is my birthday!! I still don’t know what I want to do but something like a wine tasting or something outdoors for everyone. I love birthdays and honestly like to celebrate them all weekend long if not all month long. I know it can be a little ridiculous but that is just me. When it is my 30th birthday I will be going all out for a trip. I just ordered an outfit to wear for my birthday weekend and let’s hope it fits. As you know I have been buying lots of sweaters lately like this red bow sleeve sweater that I am obsessed with, but adding a fun statement piece is what I was really excited for.

It is always nice to get some classic pieces too that you can wear from work to the weekends. I have worn this oversized button down shirt several times to work with some skinny cropped pants. It works really well with jeans and a blazer if you have casual Fridays too. An oversized button down shirt is the classic American style. There is something so cozy about this look, but at the same time it looks so chic. It is all about pairing neutrals where you can mix and match your pieces for a whole new look. Honestly I could wear this top with leggings and be perfectly fine even sleeping in it because it is that comfy. If you don’t have an oversized button down shirt I would highly suggest ordering one. There is so much you can do with it between throwing a leather jacket over it or pairing it with a high waisted pencil skirt.
