Today it is all about the old classic that honestly I thought I would never be wearing again and that is the overalls. These used to be my favorite staple as a kid. I would wear them to school, birthday parties, and always on the weekends. I guess we can say that they were almost like the original romper, essentially a one piece that was so fashionable. Last year for Free Press Summer Fest is when I first spotted overalls back in the stores and thought “OMG, I can’t believe this, but of course I have to get them!” Since then I have been wearing these trusty white overalls casually on the weekends. Now back in the 90’s I would have had embroidery which for sure has made a comeback, and those smiley faces all over my overalls too. Do you guys remember the smiley face? I mean now we have them in emojis but those things were everywhere. I even had a teacher in elementary school who decorated her whole room in smiley faces.

This look would just be another 90’s look unless I updated these overalls into a more trendy look that we are all seeing lately. Unless you have been living under a rock you know everyone is wearing the off the shoulder top. I personally buy more of these I feel like every time I go shopping and will continue to buy them. I think they look universally flattering on everybody and give that girly feel. When paired with overalls I don’t feel like I am in elementary school anymore, but instead being super trendy. Then we have my favorite mules that honestly if you follow me on snapchat or insta stories you see I have been wearing them all of the time. This is another trend that I love because mules are my lifesaver at work too. I have been wearing a variation of these since I started in the work place a couple of years ago, and have been waiting for them to become trendy. I never thought I would be wearing overalls again, but you know the saying keep the items long enough and they will come back in style. This is all about keeping the look updated and styling with trendy pieces that you love. You could also pair this with a fancier top and some more dressy mules for a take on a completely different overalls look. Oh and speaking of 90’s I also still love that chokers are back too!
