Velvet Casual Look

We have almost survived the first week back to work in 2017! It has been pretty busy this week and I can’t complain because it makes the day go by so much faster. Seriously though with the amount of work it seems like it should be at least Friday though. I don’t know about you but I am ready for the weekend with some sleep and cooler weather. It really has not felt like winter here at all, unlike it did in New York for fashion week last year. This outfit though is a great transition to wear from the winter going into spring. You can’t go wrong with velvet and it can be worn so many different ways for an unexpected look. My outfit from Tuesday with these flared pants was such a great look for fall/winter because of the rich fabrics. This velvet though could even be worn with jean shorts in the summer since it is such a fun color.

What I love most about this look are the fringed jeans that I can’t get over. If you remember during the summer I had worn these flared jeans, but adding fringe just takes it to the next trendy level. You can never go wrong with a pair of jeans to make the look casual. On the weekends I have been living in these jeans because they are just so darn comfortable. I have also been wearing them with booties and an over sized sweater on these more chillier days. This leather jacket kept this look classic yet trendy. A girl has got to have one of these in their closets as it is a staple item. If you are going shopping this weekend and need to buy any items I would suggest getting a velvet piece. Yes they are totally 90’s, but I am loving it and they are so trendy. I know that I will be shopping this weekend but will be getting several wedding gifts as the weddings are starting back up. Hope you all have a great day and thanks for reading!
