I am getting so excited for the Fourth of July that is coming up! It is one of my favorite holidays by the way. There is something so fun about being outside with family and friends, and of course the fireworks are my favorite. Whether you are grilling, swimming, or just chilling outside these entertaining pieces are my favorite. This is one of those holidays where I never have set plans. I don’t think I have ever traveled for this day and with work now it can sometimes be a challenge. My favorite thing to do on this holiday is honestly listen to some good music, have a cocktail in my hand, and enjoy my friends and family. Last year I had gone to the country club and watched a great fireworks display at night which was so much fun. I like to keep it pretty chill and also wear something that I can keep on for lots of different activities during the day. Last year I wore this off the shoulder dress which I continued to wear all summer long. In the summer time I love to wear dresses because they are girly and so simple to wear when it feels like 100 degrees outside.

This dress is one that I got last year before I went to Charleston. What I love about this dress is how classic and preppy it is. That is one thing about blue, stripes, and a wrap dress is they are here to stay. What better occasion to wear a dress like this then to a July 4th celebration! You have to incorporate the classic red, white & blue into your outfit and this does just that. I have been loving the handkerchief scarf around the neck trend lately. This is such a classic look that can completely change up an outfit. When I spotted this scarf I knew that I had to grab it for this summer. It is adorable and the print has the all American colors. I love mixing prints together like these stripes and the scarf. It is summer time so don’t be afraid to mix prints in your swimwear as well. What all are you doing for July 4th? Do you have an outfit planned yet? Remember those Old Navy flag tees we all used to love??? If I wasn’t wearing a fun dress I might be trying to bring a classic 1999 shirt back with some denim shorts 😉
