Happy Tuesday everyone! How was everyone’s weekend? I spent it hanging out with my family, friends, and enjoying some pool time. We also got to go to this new restaurant in River Oaks District and have a girls night. That is one of my favorite things to do and when it involves getting dressed up and wearing some fun prints, it is even better. I don’t know about you but I love prints, and wearing loud prints just seems to work better on a girls night than a date night with your man. This retro floral dress is so much fun to me. When I first saw it on the hanger I asked my friend whether she thought it was too loud! I don’t even think I heard her because I was already running to the checkout counter, not trying it on ahead of time of course. I guess I have gotten so used to ordering online and now when I go into a store I don’t even feel like trying on the items. It just seems like so much effort, and luckily everything has fit for the most part. When I spotted this dress it looked like something I would find at my favorite vintage store like what I have worn in this and this post. Floral in the summer time is essential and if it involves bright colors is even better in my opinion.

What also makes this dress unique is the sleeves. Yes, the dress is off the shoulder like everything I have been wearing but the flutter sleeves make it even more trendy. When you have a loud print dress already with lots of color, you might want to make the rest of your accessories neutral. Metallic is one of my favorite neutrals and these mules with my favorite cross body were just the right touch. I wore these mules all throughout Charleston and they are seriously the comfiest thing. They are just the perfect touch of glam and are something that my grandmother would have worn. I am ok with that and love the extra glam with some modern vintage looking pieces. Since it is summer after all I had to pair it with these earrings that are so fun and seriously so inexpensive. I could have worn them with this pom pom off the shoulder dress from last week too just to be extra bright and loud. Now it is time to actually pack some of these things as I get ready for Chicago on Thursday for a fun weekend for the Blog Societies Conference! Make sure to follow along on social media.
