Happy 3 day weekend to all of you pretties. Could it be any more gorgeous out today?? I am so excited that it is almost Easter and that spring is in full swing! It is probably my favorite season because of all of the pretty flowers. It is also such a favorite that my friend Jill and I threw our good friend Cassie a spring bridal shower 2 weekends ago. I knew that this was the perfect time to bust out some bird cages for decor, flowers and pastel colors. We went with the theme of gold, light pink, mint with some greenery. Everything turned out exactly as I had hoped it would. We wanted to do classy with a touch of rustic.

bridal shower advice cards

This was the cutest welcome sign at the entrance. My mom was so crafty and I drew up a design and she was able to execute it with some wood she had around the house. Everyone left advice on these cute cards for the “love birds” and then put them in the bird cage.

The dessert table was my favorite! So many cute desserts from cupcakes, brownies, cookies to tres leches it was a sweet heaven. I think I love eating the sweets more than the main meal at functions and there was plenty to choose from here.

A shower would not be complete without some fun games. I think it’s what makes the shower and people get to interact and laugh with one another. My friend Jill found these cute games and printed them off and they were “Who knows the bride better” “Who knows the groom better” and “He said, she said”. These were the hit of the shower. Everyone had such a great time playing these and laughing at everyone’s answers.

mimosa bar

We had to have some great food and it was South American that was catered as well as a mimosa bar set up. I like at showers when there is little stations where you can just pick your food and drinks and make your own. The mimosa bar was a hit. Of course we had some props as well for a photo booth. Pictures are worth a thousand words!

My favorite part of the shower was seeing what gifts the bride got and to see the look on her face. I always think it is the first real grown up time in your life where you get elegant things such as china and crystal and are so happy! When the guests left we had little treat bags filled with cotton candy for them and little soaps.

It was so nice to shower our wonderful friend on her special day. I hope you all take inspiration from this and get to throw a girly spring shower soon!
