Can you all believe it is almost August?? This summer is really going by extremely fast. I mean what summer, because I am pretty much envious of my teacher friends that have the summer off. In the meantime I have been trying to stay somewhat cool from this heat by trying to avoid outside, unless I am by the pool. There is something about Houston and the summers where I honestly think it gets hotter each year. I have been trying to wear pieces that have breathable fabric for days like these. When I went shopping last weekend I got a lot of fun pieces that I can wear all summer long. One of them being this long skirt that I wore in last week’s post, and the other is this fun cactus top. I have been seeing cactus print on lots of pieces from cute accessories to tops like this. I love having a unique print on pieces during the summer. Remember when I wore this alligator print dress? Being creative and fun in the summer with prints makes it a little more enjoyable on the summer weekends, even if you have to go back to work on Monday.

Yes, this top is off the shoulder and I am for sure not done with this trend. If you go to any store you will see that this style is still everywhere, and honestly it is hard to find something that is not off the shoulder. I am not hating on this at all. I have worn a lot of off the shoulder pieces ever since I went to Charleston. This past weekend I ordered more from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and can’t wait to show you the pieces. I am pretty sure it is the trend of the year. If you haven’t shopped the Nordstrom sale I would do so soon!
