I don’t know about you but beauty products to me have always been one of those things that can sometimes be a challenge, and especially in the winter time. There are lots of products that I have tried out over the years and some that I have fallen in love with this past year while sampling. My skin is typically oily to normal but can be all over the place in the winter time. I am a Texas girl and have always lived here. I don’t have too many extreme weather conditions here, but you never know with the temperatures being in the 20’s one day and then in the 70’s another day. All of this can cause havoc on your skin and if you go from one extreme climate to the other like skiing for instance, your skin is going to need all of the moisture it can get. I thought I would share with you products that I love for my skin during this time of year and what has worked for me. Some of these I wear season to season, but typically they are good for all skin types who need a little TLC during the winter. A little exfoliation, moisture, and anti aging with a bit of glam are my favorite items to look for in winter beauty products.

  • Dry Bar Triple Sec 3 in 1 Spray – If you haven’t been to Dry Bar before you need to hurry and book an appointment stat! This is a place that you get your hair washed, dryed and styled all while sipping a mimosa of course. I fell in love with their hair products the times I have been there because not only are they amazing, but they smell extremely good too! This is an all in one product that I literally spray on my hair everyday. It works as a texturizer, dry shampoo and volumizer all in one. I call this a miracle hair product.
  • Moroccanoil Treatment Light– I go with the light moroccan oil for my hair as my hair can get oily fast. I put a dollop of this oil throughout my hair right after I wash my hair and it helps it through these dry cold months. Sometimes your hair needs a little moisture and I find it important to not be afraid of oil, but instead embrace it for your hair.
  • Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask – This is one of my favorite beauty products for the winter. I try to do a couple of face masks each week whether they are purifying or hydrating. I like this one because it is an instant mask and you only need to leave it on for a couple of minutes, and it really does give your skin that bit of moisture that it needs during this time.
  • Dermalogica Daily Microexfoliant – An exfoliant is key during the winter months. I use one during the summer as well and especially before I put on my favorite self tanner, but even more so in the winter. A little scrub to remove your dead skin cells and to help if you do have dry patches is to use an exfoliant. I really like this one because it is very very gentle. I have sensitive skin and I needed something that would not make me red either.
  • PCA Skin Clear Skin – This has been my favorite moisturizer for my skin for several years now. I have always been known to have a few breakouts especially when the weather changes too. Yes, even though it is cooler out this girl will still have the occasional zit. This moisturizer has helped that and has gentle enough ingredients that I don’t have to worry about it being too harsh on my skin.
  • Clarisonic Mia Brush – Probably one of my favorite beauty products of all time. I bought this in college and still have the same one to this day. The price is so worth it and until you start using it you are not aware of how good it really does cleanse your face. It also helps smooth your flaky skin you might get during the winter for a more even looking skin tone. I highly recommend this!
  • It Cosmetics CC Cream – This has been my only foundation for at least 2 years now. I stick to this because it has worked and I love that it does not feel heavy. I love how I can wear this from work everyday to the weekends as well. It has lots of anti aging products in it and it helps that it also has SPF. Something that is very moisturizing which this is, is great to have in the winter. If you want more coverage you can apply more and it does not look cakey like other foundations do.
  • MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour (Feels so Grand) – I have loved the look of liquid lipstick lately and the matte look it gives you. This is the second color of these liquid lipsticks that I have bought. I like the color of this lipstick especially with Valentines coming up, and red is such a classic winter color. It is a universal color that is flattering on everyone. This liquid lipstick also lasts for a long time which is nice.
  • Aquaphor Advanced Lip Therapy – This stuff is literally the first thing that I grab after I wash my face both morning and night. It is so moisturizing and great for your lips. It is a product that has been around forever and they really know what they are doing. I also like to put this on before I go to sleep so my lips are moisturized at night too. You can swipe this on over your lipstick as well.

What are some of your favorite winter beauty products, I would love to hear them!
