Next weekend will be Valentines Day! Why is the year going by way too fast already. Like I have said before I actually enjoy this holiday and I don’t even have a soulmate. Sex and the City always said that your girlfriends are your soulmates and I couldn’t agree more. The past couple of years I have called it “Galentines” Day and enjoy the phrase actually a lot more. Between exchanging sweet presents with my mom to celebrating this holiday with my best friend, it really is about gals on this day for me. When it comes to being out with your girlfriends on this holiday, less dress up is sometimes even better. If you are staying at home or perhaps just a casual dinner and movie this look is a no fuss way to still tie in the red without being overly dressed. A denim jacket over anything and flats is a sure way to make this look casual enough for the day and then can be worn with heels and a leather jacket if you have more fancier plans that night.

I am looking forward to my Galentines Day next weekend in New York with my roomie. We still haven’t picked what Broadway show we are going to see so any recommendations are welcome! This weekend will be spent gathering my outfits together and getting a much needed mani/pedi while also celebrating another girlfriend’s birthday tonight.
