My friend and I hosted a “Sip n See” shower for our good friend and her baby Sawyer Tate this weekend.  Sawyer Tate is now 2 months old and having a “Sip n See” shower was the perfect party. Our girl friends got to come into town and finally meet the little cutey. We chose all things nautical for the theme. This was the perfect little theme for a shower in the summer. We had too much fun with the names for the food and drinks like “chips ahoy”, “fish n chips” and “captain punch”. I especially loved the sugar cookies we had ordered from Miss J’s Sugar Cookies. She hand paints the cookies and is so talented. These were the perfect take home sweets for our friends.

On the invitations we asked everyone to bring a book instead of a card and write a sweet message to Sawyer. This was the perfect little touch, and a baby can never have too many books. In lieu of a guest book we had everyone fill out wishes for Sawyer and then put them in a bottle. Our little “message in a bottle” was also a great added touch. Not only is it wedding season but baby shower season as well. I have my third baby shower in a row this upcoming weekend. I love going to them and especially looking at all of the cute baby clothes 😉
