Another week is going by and that means that it is that much closer to Easter which is one of my favorite holidays, I admit I love all of the holidays though. If you are a teacher like a lot of my friends then you were blessed to have what we call a Spring Break last week. That is one thing I miss so much about the real world now and not being on a beach and having a care in the world. I was pretty productive though this past week and got a lot of errands done which I had been putting off, and also got a new laptop finally. If you didn’t know my other one I had spilt coffee all over it so I finally got the new MacBook Pro and just trying to get used to it since I have always been a Windows girl for laptops. It has also been nice to hang with my friends lately and catch up with them. We went and celebrated St. Patricks Day on Friday which was so much fun here. Having a weekend where you are productive and having fun is one of the best ones I can think of. I have also started buying more items for Spring as it slowly creeps up on us. I mean it came on pretty hot this weekend where it was about 85 degrees! One item I have been loving for all year long that is such a fun look is a touch of metallic.
It is no secret that metallics have been in lately. From metallic bags to metallic shoes and a whole metallic outfit, they are just the right amount of shimmer and fun to any outfit. I paired them in a more casual warm weather way compared to what I have typically done in the holiday months. A touch of metallic can go a long way with any outfit to make it a little more glam. I have typically worn these metallic flats from the weekends with skinny jeans to work with some of my shift dresses. They are so comfortable and loafers like these are every where this season. It gives it a more casual look that is great to wear to run errands or just hang out with your friends. Of course I am buying more off the shoulder tops because I can’t get enough of them. This top though I loved because it was a more rustic type of chambray which was such a great update. Also can we talk about this bag! Yes, metallics and pom poms. That is one trend that I don’t see leaving anytime soon is the appearance of pom poms and fringe. Gotta love a fun embellishment!
