Today officially kicks off my favorite time of year here in Houston! That is the start of the Rodeo and Livestock show that goes throughout the month of March. This past weekend was all about getting prepared and enjoying some great BBQ, and now the real fun starts with the bull riding and concerts. I have been going ever since I was little, and now it is a fun time of year to just chill and have an excuse to go and do something. I will be kicking it off at Rodeo tonight and have plans to go to several other shows as well. One thing other than some of my favorite boots that I love to wear, are some florals during this time of year. Between all of the fringe, suede, leather and all the other Western fabrics, it is nice to give it a little girly vibe with some florals like this floral skirt. I love to wear florals from the Winter time to times like now for the Houston Rodeo. They can go with so much and give a feminine side to an otherwise edgy outfit.

I would also recommend if you plan to go to to the Rodeo soon to wear a jacket or at least bring one. This past weekend felt great during the day and as soon as we started walking out, it got cooler again. My trusty leather jacket is great for this and makes wearing even a floral skirt like this a little more edgy. You can’t go wrong having an all black look as well. Adding in a pop of print or color can allow so many different variations to an otherwise basic outfit. Who all are you seeing during the Rodeo this year?
