Happy Friday everyone! We all survived Valentine’s Day yesterday. If you were like me then you probably wore some variation of pink or red during the day. I was able to wear my pink sweater and dressed it up a little more. I love this time of the year where love is in the air. Whether you are dating someone or are single like me, it is nice to get a little dressed up and go out and enjoy yourself. As you know by now I tend to do this every weekend, but do not dress up that much. I just had a fun girls dinner a couple of weeks ago that did end up being about 3.5 hours where we did get to dress up. I think this is so important for us to embrace those more fancier items we have in our closet that don’t normally get used that often. This dress is one that gives a feather touch to make an outfit pop. I first wore this dress 4 years ago here.

It is one of those items that hang so pretty in my closet, yet I never get to wear it. As we all know during the work week we normally have to dress up and look well put together. On the weekends the last thing we want to put on again is a dress. Typically we just pull our favorite jeans out instead of making a statement. I think one thing that you should try to do this month is bring out those special pieces, even if it is just for a fun night out. I saw a girl last night with a floor length red sequin skirt and I thought I need that ASAP! Experimenting on different pieces you wouldn’t normally buy like this feather dress really take you out of your comfort zone. I paired it with my favorite leather jacket that I literally wear all year long. Such simple pieces can all come together for a new look.
