Hi everyone! It feels good to be talking back on here with you all after I took the last couple of weeks off of the blog. I was really busy with my day job, had several activities planned, and then of course dealing with the Houston Winter storm which basically was a week. I can’t believe it is already March, and I am excited to head right into Spring. One of the things that during the Storm and then just contemplating on over the past couple of weeks, is it’s the simple things that truly matter the most. We sometimes take for granted these things because they are readily available to us, or don’t seem like that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. It makes you put into perspective the basic things and being thankful for having a home, electricity, water and warmth during crazy times.

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for all things Spring. Since the Winter storm, I have been eager for warmer weather and bright color clothes and accessories. In the meantime I have still been wearing my simple black classic pieces that I mix and match with all year long. I recently wore this leather skirt for Valentine’s Day and it was a hit. This can be worn all season long with a change out of your favorite tank top for the Spring. James and I have been trying to get outside and do activities as much as possible lately. Now with Oliver having all of his puppy vaccinations and my broken ankle almost healed, we can start to do more outside. It is all about these type of simple things like enjoying a walk outside or even heading to the beach with your loved ones that are so great right now. I am excited to share some new Spring finds with you including my new Easter dress when it comes in and all of the warmer weather things! It’s the simple things everyone 😉
