Happy Wednesday everyone! The last 2 months have been pretty crazy with my parents and I with health related stuff that I touched on in this post last week. Since then my dad was in the hospital with a heart attack, and it can be hard to understand and stay motivated and focused through it all. We have been taking each day as it comes and will hopefully figure things out soon and it will get less chaotic. In the meantime my parents and I have been relaxing and taking things easy. When things like this happen, it makes you realize that family and friends and being together makes all of the world of difference. Understanding and keeping the faith through whatever hard times you face, is key to happiness. I have put my tips on keeping the faith below during hard times.

Tips for Keeping the Faith

  • Know That This Season Will Pass: Sometimes it might seem like things just keep on going wrong, or you can’t seem to get a break. Know that God has a plan and this season will pass. I say season because it can last several seasons in a year, or just several weeks. Either way, new things flourish and come up in each season, and it’s how we adapt that makes it worthwhile.
  • It Could Be Worse: Stress can get all of us, especially when you have stress in various different areas of your life. I always try to think that it could be worse, and be thankful that God has brought you this challenge. A lot of people have things worse, and it helps to be able to count your blessings.
  • It Teaches You a Lesson: Hard times always teach you a lesson. If anything it teaches you to focus on things that matter, instead of trivial things. You might not understand when things bundle up, but there is always a reason and a lesson at hand.
  • Be Calm and At Peace: It seems like we can all freak out a little when unexpected things happen. It is better to be calm and at peace. Whether this is spending more time in prayer or reflection or just more time not worrying so much, this is key during all of these high stress moments. Your friends might ask “Wow, you are so calm” but really what else can you do at these times anyway!
  • Your Friends Are Little Angels Holding Your Wings: During tough times, never underestimate your friends through it all. These times are great for strengthening these relationships, and they will always hold your wings during these times. Whether it is an encouraging call, quote, or sending a little special gift. Friends are so special and it is important to know this when you are going through hard times and keeping the faith.
  • You Can Be a Rock For Someone Else: Someone else might be dealing with similar situations, and had no one to relate to because they felt like they couldn’t open up. When I had Covid and shared on my Instagram stories, I got so many great responses from people who were dealing with the same thing. You never know how you will be able to connect and relate with someone else dealing with the same struggles.
  • God Doesn’t Give You Anything You Can’t Handle: It might seem like God can trust you too much at times, but he never gives you anything that you can’t handle. This is key for keeping the faith and being positive through it all. He knows your strengths, weaknesses, and where he is leading you to. Everything that happens in your life he already has a plan for and we just have to keep the faith.

I hope you enjoyed my tips for keeping the faith. Remember you are never alone and this season too shall pass. You got to have faith through it all and the courage and strength to get through it 🙂
