Oversized Blazer

Happy Thursday everyone! It has been raining it seems like non-stop here in Houston since Friday which has not been fun. A lot of people got flooding in their house and in their car which is always so hard to deal with. I just want the sunshine to come back out and for us get back to wearing bright colored clothes and actually enjoying the outdoors. That doesn’t look like it will be happening until at least Sunday if that. In the meantime when it is weather like this, it is hard for me to dress up with a dress but instead opt for a piece like my favorite oversized blazer. I wear this blazer at least once a week if not twice to work on a regular basis. You have seen me wearing oversized shirts, but there is something that makes wearing an oversized blazer even more chic.

If you don’t have an oversized blazer yet, you should get one to mix and match your entire work to weekend wardrobe. I will go all out business and wear the full blazer set with pinstripe pants like I did here, or simply pair it with some jeans and a basic white t-shirt for an understated chic look. These white booties and white t-shirt are staple items that you can mix and match with for a completely different outfit. I love how they give this look that Spring look that we all are craving lately. White accessories just make a statement no matter what other pieces you are wearing with them. Pinstripes in this blazer are also one of those classic prints that you can never go wrong with. No matter what time of year it is, this print will always be in. Throwing on a couple of different accessories can completely change this otherwise corporate looking oversized blazer.
