I am so ready for the weekend I can barely stand it! This week has been very tiring and maybe it is because I am still not caught up on my sleep from 2 weddings back to back weekends. Whatever it is I know that I mentally and physically need a break. Not saying that weddings are not fun I mean did you see my little black dress that I wore? Does anyone else feel just extremely tired? Sometimes I think man my brain is literally running a hundred miles an hour non stop and I just need to relax for a minute. What I always look forward to after coming home from work is immediately changing into something comfy and over sized. I work in a very corporate environment during the day and work slacks are something that I don’t tend to want to wear on a daily basis. When I put on something comfy I immediately feel at ease and more productive because I am comfortable. This can sometimes be a bad thing because when you are dressed too comfy it is almost like you are wearing your pj’s and could go back to bed. I would not be opposed to wearing leggings and a big over sized sweater to work everyday, but I don’t make the rules.

On the weekends though I let loose and opt for the big over sized sweaters. I have had this sweater for several years and have worn it dressed up with heels in this classic post and even in New York when it was about 8 degrees. It is one of those classic pieces during this time of year that is just so convenient to throw on with some jeans or leggings and you have an effortless outfit. Speaking of effortless, anytime I throw on jeans I pretty much think they are the go to essential item of my closet and I think I am pretty much right. They are the one item I tend to invest in and for good reason. These jeans have pretty much made a trendy hit in my outfits lately by spicing them up a little. Between wearing them with velvet or with an over sized blue sweater they just tend to make it 10 times better! Now yes your boyfriend might not think an over sized blue sweater is the most flattering, but when you dress it up with some sassy jeans and booties like I did then it is a hit. Let’s be honest anyways guys never understand the trends, and ladies I think we can come to the conclusion that we don’t dress to impress guys anyway.
