A couple of weeks ago I went to the roller skating rink with some of my blogger gal pals for a fun night skating. We are all a part of the Blog Societies and most of us have gone to the conference together over the years as well. Let me tell you I hadn’t been skating since I took my nephew when I was about 10 years old. I think this activity is so old school and fun and honestly I don’t know why it has taken me so long to go before now. I will say that I feel like it is still easier than ice skating though. My favorite thing about getting ready for roller skating was the fun outfit that I got to put together. I wanted to add a little 70’s flair but still keep it very trendy. I decided to go with my new trusted cropped flare jeans. I have been wearing these a lot lately because not only are they white and go with everything for the summer, but the embroidery on the bottom makes them that more unique.
I couldn’t forget about crop tops during this time of year. This especially came in handy when skating because you can really break a sweat. I never wore crop tops until this year. I honestly always thought that they looked super 90’s and not classy, but I feel like they have changed their game up a lot. Remember this crop top I recently wore with jeans? It has been on repeat just like this one I wore while skating. You can do so much with a top like this like pair it with a high waisted long skirt or even some denim shorts for a Fourth of July look! I hope you all have plans in place so far for this holiday. Like I mentioned on Tuesday, I don’t know my plans but with this weather they will probably involve the pool for sure at some point and probably a dinner. I am excited to head to Fredericksburg this weekend with my parents. It will be nice to relax and just enjoy some wine in the hill country for a couple of days. I hope you all have a great weekend 🙂
