Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! Are you all having a good summer so far? I know that those of you that have kids will be going back to school this week. If you are a teacher that means your summer is sadly coming to an end. I have several friends who are teachers, and I feel their pain. If you are like me and don’t get the summers and holidays off, then you know any chance we get to take a vacation is amazing. You all know that I went to Palm Springs and LA last week for a blogger getaway. I would call this my fun little summer trip. We went and explored all over the city. Between going to some amazing restaurants and then getting to venture and see some great hotels and houses, I was in heaven. I did try to dress the part while I was in Palm Springs. If you aren’t wearing some floral print and bright colors, are you really even in Palm Springs?

The color and the fun print was what had first drawn me into visiting this great city in the first place. There is something so great about bright colors and then the backdrop of this amazing city. We loved driving around and seeing the colorful houses, hotels, mountains, and my personal favorite the cactus that were everywhere. If you didn’t know yet, Palm Springs is in the dessert. I quickly found that out when the temperatures were reaching 114 degrees on our trip. With the dessert, comes cactus everywhere which can be so pretty and most importantly even better for some photos. I decided to dress “so Palm Springs” with my new Elizabeth McKay top that I have been loving so much! The blue floral popped against all of the fun colors of this city. I like how amazing the quality in this top is, and also the gold bamboo detail zipper on the back. This is one of those tops that I can wear to the office and then on the weekends as well. We also can’t forget about these Lisi Lerch earrings that I have been wearing with everything lately. The white beads made every look pop while I was traveling in California. They are so versatile that you can wear them with anything from some jeans to a black cocktail dress. It is all about having fun when you are on vacation, and dressing for the city makes it that much more enjoyable!
