I am so excited because today starts Rodeo Season officially here in Houston! If you are like me, then you look forward to this month long celebration every single year. It to me is always the best time of year here in Houston. My favorite part is actually Rodeo Cookoff that kicks off tonight. I always go every year and having tent after tent of BBQ, bands, and beer are something that I always look forward to! It is also a great time for people watching and always running into someone you know. Over the years I have had several different rodeo looks. It doesn’t matter if I wear a dress, shorts, or jeans, I of course always have to have on some form of cowboy boots. In Houston even though we could wear cowboy boots every day if we wanted to, Rodeo time is the must place to bring these out.

These boots that I got this year are some that I have been wearing every single weekend lately. I like how they are a little taller than regular booties, but still shorter than the traditional cowboy boot. They pair well with my new favorite Johnny Cash t-shirt that I had to have. I spotted this over the weekend and knew that I would get so much out of it during this time of year. The material is so soft, and who doesn’t love Johnny Cash? Tonight I will be wearing this shirt but with jeans and my leather jacket to make it a little more warm. It is also supposed to rain all weekend as well which should be interesting. Instead of your typical plaid shirt or fringe, sometimes a basic t-shirt that you find can do so much to an otherwise basic outfit. I hope you all have a great weekend!
