Fall is officially here and I just got back from Tulsa, Oklahoma where I got to experience the true fall weather changes. The leaves were shades of red, yellow, and orange and the weather was crisp. It is starting to get like this in Houston, but still has a long way to go before it is around the high 50’s. One of the fashion trends I have been seeing everywhere for fall is the western look. This look involves anything from fringe, high waisted jeans, and my favorite being cowboy boots. These type of trends are always around during Rodeo time here in Houston, but should be a staple all season long as well. When I heard that this was a trend, I got really excited that I could wear my beloved boots other than just 1 month out of the year. Even white booties  have been getting a western vibe to them with this trend. I knew that with this look I wanted to keep it girly with a long dress to have a transition from summer to fall.

I haven’t put all of my summer clothes up quite yet, and really that is because it still is around 80 + degrees here. I also think you don’t have to buy all new clothes for every new season. Adding a couple of key basics and some trendy items will help you get through the various seasons. I find it fun to still wear summer dresses, but in a new way like I did here with tall boots. If you throw on a leather jacket or a long coat, you can move straight into the cooler weather temperatures. Dresses like these can offer so much versatility where you can even put a longer coat with it too for a change. Floral dresses can go with every season and the longer the length the better with this look. If you are looking for a new way to rock your boots, then this look can help with that.
