Chambray & Denim

I am back from Cabo and I wish I was still on vacation. The resort was so amazing and we could not ask for better weather. If you kept up on snapchat and insta stories you saw that my friend’s wedding was just spectacular too. It even had fireworks which I was really jealous about. When you are away on a nice vacation like a beach destination all you want to do is relax and take in all of the scenery. That was probably number one on our list. We stayed around the resort, except for one day when we went fishing. The whole trip I kept it pretty comfy and cute with lighter fabrics and lots of fun tops and dresses. I liked to dress up my outfits with these bauble earrings I have been wearing non stop over the past week. Another trend I was rocking was classic dresses or the tried and true chambray and denim look. This is a classic look that will never go out of style in my opinion. I have worn chambray and denim lots of times on the weekends, and always think it is an easygoing outfit that looks really put together.

What I found different about this chambray and denim look was the super trendy off the shoulder top of this chambray. If you haven’t been living under a rock you know that this is the favorite cut of tops and dresses for the past year. Anything from off the shoulder sweaters to big dresses, they have been everywhere. Sometimes I am hesitant to buy a trendy item because I don’t know how many times I will wear it. I find myself wearing it once and then it just sits in my closet. This top is different though because it has the classic chambray material. You can dress this up as much as you want with wedges or even some lace up heels for a fun date night. I kept it classic with some bright accessories with these bracelets and clutch. I can see myself wearing this top not only on a beach vacation like I did, but also to the Houston rodeo with some black denim jeans and some cowboy boots too. It goes with so much and I am loving chambray and denim for the endless options! What are your opinions about chambray and denim? I would love to hear them below 🙂
