Happy Friday everyone and happy almost October tomorrow! I can’t believe it is already October which just so happens to be my favorite month. I have loved Halloween and getting dressed up ever since I was little, and still have a passion for this day. Pumpkins, plaid and the crisp air and changing leaves are some of my favorite things about fall. Last year I just so happened to be in Philadelphia where I got to see the fall leaves which was probably one of the most beautiful natural things I have seen. This fall I will be going on lots of little weekend trips over the next 2 months and almost every weekend is almost booked. My bucket list place would be of course to drive up the east coast during this time of year, maybe a mother/daughter trip could happen 😉 I still haven’t pulled out my fall decor yet, I mean I just now was opening packages from about 2 weeks ago last night. I know needless to say it has been an extremely busy week. Fall decor is one of my favorites with all of the pretty neutral colors.

Last year I was able to buy several white ceramic pumpkins which I decorated our apartment with and added some gold here and there to give it a little updated look. I am going to Dallas today for a wedding but I am hoping to pull out all of my fall decor when I get back since now it seems very appropriate with it being October. I am one of those that honestly does not like pulling out decor way before it is the holidays. You will never see me putting up a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. I think you should completely enjoy the holidays and then change your decor. One item that I think is essential for fall home decor is a fall wreath. This can be either on your front door or even hung by your mantle, but I think it is one of those classic pieces every home needs during this time of year. Of course pumpkin something as well is a must. I am not a huge pumpkin flavor girl and honestly could care less about the pumpkin spice latte but I do like the way it smells in small doses. Pumpkin scented candles like this pumpkin chai candle would be a great fall addition. Swapping out your candles for a new scent is a small change that can make a huge difference. Of course you can’t think of fall without pumpkins, and I love all of the new modern takes on pumpkins for decor these days. I love the white pumpkins so much better than the orange and feel like you can do so much more with them. My favorite has to be the embellished ones I have been seeing lately. These will be on my fall decor for sure this year including these fall decor pieces that I picked up last year. Hope you are getting in the fall spirit and your decorating goes well!
