Hello it is another Monday again and the weekend has ended. It did seem to last a long time which is always a good thing! I spent time with my friends of course and went to the Nordstrom sale. I could easily buy everything in that store, but was on my best behavior. I also went to my coworkers 65th birthday party which was so fun. Of course had to end it with some pool time and wore flowy clothes the whole weekend. When I say they are like wearing pajamas I am not kidding.

When I saw my favorite fashionista Olivia Palermo rocking a look very similar to this during Paris fashion week, I got inspired for my own stripes on stripes look. I have always loved looking at what people are wearing during the couture fashion shows, but it is the street style of what the people going to the show are wearing that is sometimes even better. Stripes are the most essential and classic pattern that I believe should be worn all of the time. I love to mix patterns for an unexpected look and pairing stripes together in the same color pattern has now become one of my favorite looks. I picked up these sunglasses the other day based on how funky yet high fashion they looked, but were still under $10.

A lot of the time I see my favorite looks but then I see the price tag and it is way too high. That is why I like to splurge yet save on other pieces and try to recreate a look that is also budget friendly. This entire look is under $150 that I put together but looks a lot more! It is all about mixing and matching 🙂
