As you probably know if you follow me on social media, you know that I moved apartments a couple weeks ago. That process is still not 100% complete. I still have not unpacked everything for my closet and only about 2 things are hung up on the wall. I guess this whole moving process takes baby steps. My mom was able to come over recently and help me at least get all of the kitchen supplies unloaded into cabinets and drawers which was nice. This was the first time I had moved in 4 years, so the moving process and getting settled in seems to have slipped my mind what all is involved in it. It is not like college where I was moving almost every semester. One thing that I want to make for sure that I get organized is my bedroom. This is one area that I of course spend a majority of my time.

My friend who is an interior designer at Taylor & Taylor Designs has been helping me pick out a few things in order to get started with my bedroom update. I have had traditional big dark wood furniture in my room with my sleigh bed, dresser and armoire. It is too dark and honestly too bulky. My nightstands are fairly new and are modern with the mirrored look. I want to do a more modern, glam look with some traditional pieces thrown in as well. As my friend would say, my style is all over the place. In my kitchen I have all white dishes that are rimmed with pearl details and have shabby pieces thrown in. Then I have accents of gold and silver everywhere too. I love the metallics and want a mixture of not only silver from my mirrored nightstands, but also a pop of gold with a fun mirror and details of gold. I want to still stick to an all white duvet for this room to keep it clean looking. My bed, mattress and sheets finally came in so I am so excited about that. My bed ended up being more of a grey color instead of beige which I am very excited for. I went with classic white sheets that have a white stripe in the details. My coverlet is super soft and white and now I need to get a duvet and am getting some euro shams made in a grey spotted fabric. I want to add in a few blush accents as well to make it extra feminine. Then once I have that it is on to some frames or art over my bed, some drapes and either a new dresser or I will be doing a white wash on my current dresser. It is so fun to decorate, but takes some time as well. This is my 5th year to live with my best friend and this whole process is so fun for us!
