It is finally officially Fall ya’ll! I mean it does not feel like it at all here in Houston yet, but officially it is no longer Summer. I ended my Summer with a fun rose tasting party with my girlfriends that I featured on the blog earlier this week here. This was such a great time to be able to sample my favorite drink of choice in the hot weather, all while eating some great food. I wore a fun frilly dress, but am now ready to turn all that in for some Fall clothes like this comfy corduroy look. I have not worn corduroy in many years, but knew that these pants were such a fun look to try. When I think of corduroy I think of Mr. Rogers or grandparents for some reason, and not the fashionable piece that they can be. These though give it that updated flare of the cropped length that are so cute with some boots. I of course had to pair these with my black tank that I have been wearing a lot lately. Being able to wear something versatile that can be added to so many different looks is a win in my book.

I love how the mix of the corduroy flared pants and slouchy boots paired with the ladylike bag and tank give it a fun look. During this transition from hot to cooler weather, incorporating just 1 thing in at a time is key to still dressing for the current weather. If I had thrown in a sweater with this now, I would probably have had a heat stroke. Not saying that these pants would not look super cute with a chunky sweater, but if you are in Houston please wait at least another month. This is one of those looks that if you want to go ahead and pack up your Summer staples, this can still work for the 90 degree weather. I have slowly been incorporating items like my booties back into my wardrobe. Mixing and matching your accessories really makes the difference moving from season to season.
