If you have been following me for a while you know that I love time with my girlfriends. Whether that is hosting book club or just going out for a glass of wine and dinner, I love spending it with my favorite gals. I live with my best friend so we have more gals night outs then anyone else. Whether it is actually staying in and cooking and watching the Bachelor or grabbing happy hour at a new spot every Friday, we love spending this time together. I think it is so important no matter what stage of life you are in to still make time for your girlfriends on a regular basis. This ultimately gives you joy and calms you down no matter what you are going through during that time. I do think it is fun to get dressed up and go out for a gals night out often with your girls.  A lot of the times I try to make a whole weekend out of this to include dinner, brunch, shopping and dinner again. Whatever you end up doing, it is the memories and girl talk you share that means the most.

I do think dressing up when you have a gals night out look is so much more fun than if you were dressing up for a normal date night with your significant other. Girls understand fashion and the more trendy the items are the better. It is also fun to wear something with your gals that you have really been wanting their opinion on as well, because trust me they will tell you. If I am not wearing a dress, I typically like to at least have a fun top and jeans on. This top I got in the summer time and have been able to wear it ever since. It gives that little bit of edge with the criss cross, and the color is so great for this time of year. As we head into February, not everything has to be pink and red. It is fun to just be able to mix and match and be able to wear a great lilac color like this.
