Making a Statement

We all have those pieces in our closet that make a statement for us. Some have more of these items than others. I have been going through my closet and doing a major purge and overall organization, and have for sure found some more of these pieces. These are those pieces that make me happy and bring a smile to my face. I mean everyone in fashion is making a statement right? I have worn this vintage leopard coat from fashion week to running errands over jeans. This to me is a classic piece that makes a statement. As I have mentioned before, almost every day to work I wear or carry something that is animal print. It is probably one of my favorite prints. Wearing this in either a subtle way or by making a statement is a versatile coat that will go with so much.

Valentines Day is next week which I seriously can’t believe! I wanted to tie in a little bit of those romantic colors by not just wearing red or pink. This culottes jumpsuit was just the right amount of color to wear for this. I have had this for about 5 years and do not wear it enough. There are so many different looks you can do with it to make a statement. I have worn a fitted striped sweater underneath, a tank top and a simple v-neck tee. This button down blouse was the perfect classic top to tie it all together. Of course I can’t forget about my metallic heels that have easily become my favorite since I bought them for New Years. Statement and classic pieces like this mixed together truly do make an outfit come together. This is one of those outfits that can be mixed and matched and worn in so many other ways too!
