Happy Memorial Day everyone! It rained all night here in Houston and I don’t think the sun will be coming out at all today. That is perfectly fine with me, a day inside lounging and enjoying some brunch will be a perfect day in my opinion. This weekend was spent celebrating special occasions like my friend’s birthday and my niece’s high school graduation. I also got some plants yesterday and am going to see if I have a green thumb after all. I feel like every month should have a 3 day weekend, people I feel like would be in a much better mood. Speaking of mood, I will be enjoying brunch today which puts me in an instant better mood. I wore this dress that I got last week on Friday night and might have to wear it again today. I love wearing white on this holiday, or bringing out some favorite stripes. Any way to give a little patriotic feel to all the men and women who have protected our freedom. This Memorial Day look is one that can be repeated and worn all season long.

This background and look remind me of when I was in Palm Springs. I love this hat that I have been wearing so much on the million walks around the block or errands that I have had to run. It goes so well with this easy dress that is such a great price. This dress looks like it would be hot as the material is more thick, but it is so breezy even though it is a light denim material. I like to add a pop of color when I have a neutral look and that is why the pop of green in this handbag was just the right accessory. I will be wearing this look all Summer long and can trade out the accessories for even brighter ones as the temperature continues to increase.
