Memorial Day Weekend White

It is finally Friday and the start to a 3 day weekend!! I have been going going going and I think that it is finally catching up with me which is no fun. I have had a cold all week and I hope it goes away ASAP because I need to enjoy the sun and the weekend. Like I mentioned in this post earlier this week, I have my nephews graduation party this weekend which I can’t believe is already here. Between that and just relaxing and hanging with friends, there is not too much else that I have planned which I am ok with. One little old time fashion rule gets to come out and that is finally getting to wear all white. If you know me I never believed in this rule as I like to wear white all year long, but let’s just say now it is appropriate throughout all of the generations after this weekend. One of my favorite things about bringing out the white is the fun little white dresses that you always need about 10 of.

If you look in my closet you will find several little white dresses, and some that I forget that I have. I think it comes from back in my sorority days initially, but at least we know I will be prepared for bridal activities one day! I like white dresses that add a little something to them like this embroidered white dress. Having a little embellishment just brings the whole outfit to a more fun level. When I was packing for Charleston a couple of weeks ago I knew that I wanted to bring a fun white dress that I could wear from day to night. This dress was one of those and I actually wore it on Mother’s Day. I wore it from brunch, walking around, and everything in between. The ruffles and the one-shoulder are my favorite part about this dress. I also like how great of quality this dress is. One thing with white dresses that we all need to watch out for is of course making for sure they are lined. This dress has plenty of material but is not too hot either. This dress would look great to wear to any Memorial Day weekend event whether it is going to a BBQ or heading for wine and appetizers.
