Happy Friday everyone! If you haven’t checked out my travel guide for Savannah yet, go check it out to see all of the fun details of our mother/daughter trip we took. We had such a great time and making these type of memories with my mom are things that I am going to remember forever. As I have stated this was our 3rd annual mother/daughter trip as we went to Napa/Sonoma first and then Charleston  before picking Savannah. We love to spend this time catching up with each other by discussing the latest book we are reading, people watching, or just laughing and hanging out together. Each time we travel together we each have items that we add onto our “must visits” while we are traveling. Another thing that is always fun to plan before a mother/daughter trip is what travel looks we will be wearing at our new fun destination. My mom is one that actually puts her outfits together in advance and will go back and forth on pieces about a million times. I on the other hand mentally think of outfits and then do not pack until the night before, and then wing it with lots of different accessories. This is how I am before blog shoots too, you think I would have everything planned out way in advance since I am a project manager by day after all. When we were thinking of things to pack we knew the weather would be hot and humid in Savannah. The items on our mind were classic pieces that had some trendy flair to them. Of course Elaine Turner came right to mind as a timeless brand that I have a ton of stuff from and love all of her pieces so much. I remember I first got a wristlet in college, and have been drawn to the brand ever since. I love that they have an amazing clothing line and was looking to see some of their spring/summer picks.

I am always drawn to classic colors with a little bit of trend that won’t go out of style 3 months from now. When you are traveling I think it is so important to bring neutrals that you can mix and match for different outfits. This is extremely important if you are like us and bring a carry-on that is very tightly packed. You can never go wrong with classic colors, and when I spotted this black little shift dress I knew that it was so fun for this trip. The material is nice and lined and the shoulder detail is what drew me in. How fun is this? I can see me wearing it all summer long. Doesn’t mommy look amazing in this top? This orange color is so great for the hotter months. My favorite part of this top is again the statement sleeves with the ruffles. We all know that this is the year for statement sleeves and they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. You can wear this top for any type of activity throughout your travels whether you are grabbing a coffee, shopping, or going out to a nice restaurant. The best part about it is the sleeves are very breathable as well as the fabric. It is also available in a couple of other colors too. If you are traveling anytime soon make sure to pack some pieces like these that you can mix and match with. It is almost the middle of the summer so plan your next trip soon that you have been putting off, and bring along your mom and you start the mother/daughter trips too 🙂
