Christmas already came and gone which seemed like it went by way too fast. If you are like me then you have probably been in comfy clothes or your pajamas for the last 2 days. I know I have and after Christmas, it is basically just hanging around the house and trying to eat leftovers and catching up on books or tv series that you hadn’t gotten through during the year. One thing that I do get excited for is New Year’s Eve and bringing out the NYE metallics. I am one of those that actually enjoys this holiday, but never know what I am doing until the last minute. There is something so festive about shimmery metallics that I wish it was acceptable to wear them all year long. I have been incorporating this festive detail whether it has been in the form of headbands, a clutch or a shimmery dress like this. What I love about this look is that it’s kind of like Gossip Girl meets a NYE party. That used to be one of my favorite shows and I loved all of the New York vibes.

Mixing fabrics and prints give a more fun look to an otherwise just shimmery basic NYE look. I liked pairing my favorite oversized blazer with this look. This is one of those staple items that you can always have in your closet for any type of occasion. Adding in neutrals like this headband that I wear constantly and these sock booties really tie in with the shimmery metallic. There is so much you can do with metallics to either dress them up or dress them down depending on the occasion. You could even pair this dress with some white sneakers and a denim jacket for a laid back look. It doesn’t matter if you are staying in or going out on the town, metallics are always a must for this NYE celebration. I still can’t believe we are heading into a new decade in 4 days! I am excited to see what it has in store and to share more with you in the new year 🙂
