I am finally unpacked from New York and getting back into my routine, but still haven’t caught up on my sleep. As most of you know I was in New York this past weekend for fashion week and went around the town exploring and having fun with my roommate. She is in my pictures here on the last day before we came back. I couldn’t have asked for a more fun weekend. We went and saw Kinky Boots on Broadway and that was fantastic! Then we went to some amazing restaurants and walked around the town. Stay tuned for a post of my favorite places while I was there. Then of course went to some fashion shows since it was NYFW.

My favorite show had to be Marissa Webb because of all of the great yellows, greens, menswear inspired and girlie floral mixed with leather pieces. Attending a fashion show is such a cool experience and it goes by so fast that you have to take it all in. This was fall winter 2016 and with all of the great pieces that were shown I can only imagine the endless opportunities to pair the items are going to be. In between shows is when you rushed someplace inside warm, or if you were like me this was the time to take photos. This whole trip I brought a lot of my vintage finds from my favorite little boutique Cheeky Vintage. I love mixing some vintage pieces with modern pieces for an updated unique look. The key to this trip was all about layering, yet having a fun outfit. This coat was on repeat during this trip and in my everyday look. You can check out this post where I went for a super casual look with it. I love animal print as well as leather and mixing unique pieces which I tried to do this weekend. It is all about bringing out your own style while keeping up with trends and classic pieces. More fun looks from fashion week will be hitting the blog soon 🙂
