I am so excited to finally be able to share with you all a quick interior tour of my place. I have been here almost a year and have not shared this with you all yet. There was a lot of new decor and furniture that I got to make this place my own. This has been my first time to ever live alone, and I have loved decorating it. My color scheme for my place has been of course my favorite neutrals with a touch of blush pink. Decorating always takes time little by little as it can be a bit of an investment. When I first moved in I wanted to get my big pieces like a couch, coffee table, and chairs out of the way first. Having this for sure filled in the gaps, and I was able to sit back and relax for a little bit. I think it is so important to be able to go with these big pieces in something that is timeless and neutral where you can mix and match more with your accessories and styling.

I knew that I wanted to have most of my items already purchased before I got to have some fun with styling pieces. I reached out to Lea Burton who offered some virtual interior design assistance. She was so fabulous to work with and got my painting above my bed, the accessories on my console table, some bathroom decor and other miscellaneous items sourced for me. It is such a relief to have a professional to be able to assist with this part of the decorating process. They have an eye for this type of work, know the best places to source, and give you time to focus on actually enjoying your new space.

What I think is key in decorating and making your interiors your own is to put your own personality into it. Some people will say sometimes that my place always looks clean, they don’t want to sit on the chairs to mess them up, and that everything has a home. Trust me with a puppy it is not always like this, and I did hide Oliver’s toys and bed and didn’t show you my whole place in this post. I do try to make it my own and incorporate little things that were my grandmothers like my tea set and other trinkets around my place. This is important to make it your own and have it unique and sentimental to truly reflect you. Whether this is a picture from your favorite trip that is framed or a watercolor painting of your pet that I had done makes it so special. Marley Stark is a watercolor artist that is incredibly talented and did this painting of Oliver which I will treasure forever! It is the perfect touch for my living room that is a welcoming piece for everyone that walks in.

That is all I have right now for my interior. I hope you all find inspiration to make a space your own. This has been a fun work in progress, and I am excited to have neutral pieces mixed with high and low price points that really make this my own. Don’t worry how long it takes, just enjoy the process and especially your space.
