It is finally starting to feel like Spring time now. I always get so excited when the time changes and we get to spring forward. A simple small move like this makes such a big difference in my every day schedule. I feel so much more productive, even though the last couple of mornings I have felt a little sluggish. It is all about prioritizing your time and committing to the new day and night schedule. Sometimes this takes a lot longer than expected. It is the start of officially getting to warmer weather, even though the last week here in Houston ranged from about 30 to 70 degrees. This is also a time to bring out all of your Spring dresses and your favorite bright colored pieces. I personally feel like this time is also a time for rebirth and thinking through things as it is right before Easter time as well. I like to get new staple pieces every season, and have already stocked up on some including this favorite new dress.

When I spotted this dress I knew I had to have it. I love wearing bright colored stripes in fun pieces like a long dress or jumpsuit like I did in Savannah. Anytime I find a tie dress that also has a collar, I typically buy it. This type of dress can go from a day at work to a fun destination like Miami or Havana. Yes, I am jealous of those that are on a fun Spring Break destination right now! One thing that still remains the same for all pieces to pick up for this Spring season are color, patterns, and adding some neutral details. It is time to pack away your sweaters and black skinnies and bring out the fun pieces. I don’t know about you but I am constantly going through my clothes to make sure I still wear them, and stripes is for sure one of them.
