It officially feels like Spring here lately in Houston. Now that we are all getting ready for Easter and just had St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is indeed in full swing. If you are anything like me, you have already put your darker clothes away and your tall boots, and have brought out all of your favorite Spring items. This to me is always one of those simple moves that does so much for your closet and just your overall well being as well. I feel so much better when I am wearing lighter colors and lighter delicate fabrics. This feels like a time for rebirth and a time that we all want to change out our wardrobe. During this time of year there are several events including Easter, the start of outdoor celebrations, and my favorite being Spring weddings. I have discussed what to wear to a beach wedding, but Spring weddings are a little different and tend to be more on the pastel color scheme.

When I think of a Spring wedding, I think of sticking to a lighter color palette. We all know some of the etiquette rules that we should follow including not wearing white, but sticking to a lighter color is the way to go for a Spring wedding. Lace detail is probably one of the most common and simple fabrics that does not overshadow any of the bridal party, but gives it a little fun to your outfit as well. I always believe that for weddings wearing something a little more fitted is always the best route to go. This dress is more fitted at the top, but still has a flowy skirt to it which gives it that romantic feel. I always recommend ditching the wedges and wearing nude heels for any type of wedding. This is a lot more dressy and still something that is comfortable and appropriate. Lately there have been a lot of fun jewelry that always comes out during this time of year. You can pair your dress with some great statement earrings like I did here. Finally, you will want to keep it classic by pairing a neutral color clutch to your outfit. A Spring wedding outfit is flirty and classy with some updated soft colors and fabrics. This ties in all of the things that make the warmer weather amazing.
