I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is less than 3 weeks away! Wow, where does the time go?! This is one of my favorite holidays as it is spent with family and I love eating, socializing and just being thankful and celebrating with one another. Every year my family gathers together and we eat the traditional turkey, sides, pies and my favorite appetizers as well. I don’t know about you but I love appetizers sometimes more than the meal itself. My favorite appetizer for the holidays has to be a block of cream cheese with pepper jelly on top and crackers 🙂 This year we will not be doing the traditional Thanksgiving, but instead we will be sailing the ocean on a cruise! We will be having a Thanksgiving meal on the boat but also my roomie and I are thinking of hosting a Friendsgiving before we all leave for the holidays. This would be so much fun as we love to entertain and it is a good time to bring out all of our dishes/glasses that we don’t get to use that often. Below are all of my favorite essentials and tips for Thanksgiving entertaining.

Monogram Glasses: Glassware is something that I tend to go overboard on. I seriously do not think I can fit a single other glass in my cabinets without everything falling down. But at the same time I always want to have some for every occasion. These are the perfect updated version of the monogram coffee mugs and I love that they are gold and would be perfect for entertaining for Thanksgiving.

Serving Set: You can’t entertain at Thanksgiving without serving sets. The meal just looks so much better when the serving pieces are cute as well. These have leaves on them and they are gold! I already want about 5 of these.

Drink Stirrer: It wouldn’t be a great Thanksgiving without a little fun cocktail of course. I usually go with some fun paper straws for every event but once I saw these drink stirrers, I knew that they would be a great addition. Not only are they stainless steel and brass, but they are very useful as well.

Dish Towel: You will need a towel when you are hosting any type of event to clean up spills, help hold something that is hot, or to dry off your hands. I always like to have something that is a funny saying and this towel does just that. It is Thanksgiving for a reason so like this towel says no complainers here!

Antler: There has to be a little bit of nature for decor when you are entertaining for Thanksgiving. These antlers are just the perfect little added touch.

Placemat: No dinner table would be complete without some fun place mats to add. I like how these are simple but still bring in a little of the Thanksgiving flair.

Taste Plates: The meal could be the most elaborate and delicious meal but if it is not served on nice plates, I think it loses its touch. Paper plates are only acceptable for leftovers here. I love the fun sayings on these plates that come in a set of 4. You can mix and match them for a fun twist on your traditional Thanksgiving meal.
