Hello everyone, how was your weekend?? I spent mine outside, eating brunch, going to the movies, and going shopping! I actually hadn’t been shopping other than online in quite some time so it was nice to de-stress and shop away! I found so many great finds at H&M this past weekend including this checkered shirt dress and many other items I will be featuring on the blog and wearing to numerous events soon. I got quite a few fun items that make a statement, and some others like this checkered shirt dress that never go out of style. Shirt dresses are so easy to throw on and can be casual or dressy. This look I wanted to make a little more dressy with my new platform heels that I am loving right now. I am loving how all of the high platforms are coming back in style. You see I like platforms from here and here. They are so fun and can make an otherwise casual comfy dress like this seem up to date and ready for a fun night out. I could also see myself wearing this dress with a denim jacket and some sneakers for an easy laid back look.

What are some of your favorite casual looks to wear on the weekends? Do you like shirt dresses too? I feel like I will be wearing these all the time as the temperature here in Houston is quickly starting to get hot. I have several bachelorette parties in the next couple of weekends at the river and lake where a dress like this would be great to throw on over a swimsuit or add heels for a fun night.
