If you are like me then you have spent a lot of your time watching new Netflix series or reading some books. I also have spent a lot of time buying some new home decor to finish off my living room since I moved into my new place back in May. Sometimes all the days mesh together, especially when you are also working from home every day as well. It is nice to be able to change it up a bit and have some date ideas during Covid to keep you occupied as well. It can be hard to think of some ideas other than watching a movie, especially during these times. My list below highlights some of my favorite date ideas that you can do during these times for a quick and easy date night!

Date Ideas During Covid

  • Get in Tuned with Your Arts with Virtual Museums: Heading to a museum on a Sunday afternoon is the most chill and culture thing you can do on a date. Increasing your knowledge on the arts and learning something new, while having fun is even better. You can virtually visit over 75 different museums from the comfort of your couch here. Some of my favorites are on here including the Art Institute of Chicago. I feel like this is so fun as a date idea, and you can plan a trip for a future date.
  • Have a Picnic: Whether this is outdoor at a local park or even in the comforts of inside on the floor, a picnic is an old school cute date idea. Bringing your favorite cheeses, a baguette, and some fruit is all you need for a little picnic. I love all of the cute picnic baskets that already have everything included in them that would be perfect to carry!
  • Do an Online Wine Tasting: I recently did this on Tuesday night through Montrose Cheese and Wine and it was one of my favorite experiences I have done. I have been to Napa and done all of the usual wine tastings in person, but this one was so intimate and fun from the comfort of your home. I bought the wines and then added the webinar package which went through the history of the wines, the tastings, and was very interactive. If you are not in Houston, I would check your local wine shops or restaurants as well and see if they are having one.
  • Challenge Each Other in a Game or Puzzle: A little competiton is always fun, and especially with games. My family typically likes to play the classic Domino’s which never go out of style. This could be Monopoly or a 500 piece puzzle, something that gets your brain going. I personally love trivia games, but a classic board game is fun too!
  • Make a Homemade Pizza Together: I have never made a homemade pizza, and this is something that is for sure on my bucket list and would be so cute for a date. I am pretty simple when it comes to pizza toppings, but you could go all out with this one. Between the dough, sauce, cheese, and all of the toppings, you can really make it your own. Having some wine and fun music playing is a great piece to this. When food is involved, you can never go wrong.
  • Rent Bikes and Discover Your City: Whether you live in a small town or in Houston like I do, exploring your city is always such a fun idea. I think the best part of a date is exploring new areas and not setting high expectations. You could discover your new favorite place or go on a trail that you never knew existed. Whether you own bikes or are going to rent them, this is a way to get out and be active.
  • Start A-Z Date Ideas: I love date ideas and a couple of years ago I had done the A-Z date idea which was so much fun. You alternate with letters of the alphabet on things to do/movies to watch/what to cook, it can really be anything. For instance I could pick letter A and choose to make “Applesauce Muffins”, which are really good by the way. Then he would be next for the letter B and could pick “Bikeriding” or “Bingo” or whatever. You then go through the alphabet by alternating, and you absolutely have to do what they pick. It is really fun and gets you out of your comfort zone. You also have something to look forward to on date nights.

Hope you all are staying safe and these ideas you can use whether you are doing a date night with your best friend or your significant other. These are all easy, inexpensive, and keeps you all safe during these times as well.
