Shades of Grey

I am all for wearing neutral colors pretty much 90% of the time. I will wear some brighter colors like these floral pants ever once in a while to work, where my coworkers will think that I blinded them by all of the bright colors. There is something so simple about having these basics in your closet that you can always go to day after day, which makes it a whole lot easier to get ready in the morning. If you saw last week I have this pink cardigan that has easily become a staple in my closet and one that I like to wear during the week. Colors in shades like pink, grey, and cream are all versatile and can be mixed and matched for a completely different look. This sweater is one that I bought when it was a lot cooler out and have worn it so many times lately. I love that it is oversized and have seen some girls even wear it as a dress. I personally will wear it as an oversized sweater, but I do like the option of throwing a belt around it for a more put together look like I did here.

Remember this belt? Yep, it is the Gucci dupe belt and they still have it in stock here. I can’t get over this and for the price it has easily become my favorite accessory. When you want to look a little more put together with an otherwise oversized look, adding a belt to cinch the outfit is the perfect solution. You also can’t go wrong with leather pants like I have been wearing non-stop lately. Adding all of these shades of grey from this ombre sweater together make a February cloudy day a little less dreary. After I organized my closet this weekend from moving I realized I have so many neutral tops that I was able to down size into a few must haves. That is where I discovered I have a lot more shades of grey in my closet than I thought. Have you done any closet purging lately?
